Projects & Improvements

Since an entirely new volunteer board took over in early 2019, the HOA has steadily invested in the park and community. Here's the record.

2023 – ongoing

Storm recovery & path repair

Severe spring and summer weather in 2023 brought unprecedented water flow and path erosion in previously unaffected areas of the park. Recovery efforts are ongoing.

Oct 2020 – Summer 2021

Comprehensive erosion prevention

Extensive drainage and erosion-control work began in October 2020, resumed in March 2021, and was substantially complete by summer 2021.

November 2020

Park benches, picnic tables & trash receptacles

The first set of park furniture was installed, making the park a place to stay awhile.

June 26, 2020

Historic torrential rains

A massive hail and rain storm hit the area on a Friday afternoon, demonstrating the need for enhanced stormwater management throughout the park.

Timber blocks for drainage control

Wood barriers were placed along the southwestern trail to stop creek-bed water flow from washing over the walking trail.

March 28, 2020

Sidewalk saved from a sinkhole

Concrete restoration on the park's southern edge wrapped up after four tons of fill were placed beneath the sidewalk and street to fix severe water erosion — work that likely saved both from collapsing into a sinkhole.

January 2020

Parking lot painted

Lot striping was painted January 21, with fire-lane markings added January 28.

October 11, 2019

Playground opens

The playground installation was completed — a centerpiece of the 7-acre park.

August 2019

Basketball court installed

The community basketball court was installed in the park.

Early 2019

A new board takes the reins

After homeowners petitioned to replace an inactive board, an entirely new volunteer board assumed control — kicking off the community improvements listed above.
