Since an entirely new volunteer board took over in early 2019, the HOA has steadily invested in the park and community. Here's the record.
Severe spring and summer weather in 2023 brought unprecedented water flow and path erosion in previously unaffected areas of the park. Recovery efforts are ongoing.
Extensive drainage and erosion-control work began in October 2020, resumed in March 2021, and was substantially complete by summer 2021.
The first set of park furniture was installed, making the park a place to stay awhile.
A massive hail and rain storm hit the area on a Friday afternoon, demonstrating the need for enhanced stormwater management throughout the park.
Wood barriers were placed along the southwestern trail to stop creek-bed water flow from washing over the walking trail.
Concrete restoration on the park's southern edge wrapped up after four tons of fill were placed beneath the sidewalk and street to fix severe water erosion — work that likely saved both from collapsing into a sinkhole.
Lot striping was painted January 21, with fire-lane markings added January 28.
The playground installation was completed — a centerpiece of the 7-acre park.
The community basketball court was installed in the park.
After homeowners petitioned to replace an inactive board, an entirely new volunteer board assumed control — kicking off the community improvements listed above.
The Landscaping & Park Planning committee is always looking for input — and volunteers.
